I'm James W. Tausz founder and president of The Bradford Financial Center located in Clarion, Iowa. Clarion is located ninety miles north of Des Moines. My wife Judy and I were both raised and educated in small towns in northwest Iowa. Being raised in an atmosphere of helping our neighbors, serving others; we have chosen to remain in small town Iowa. We are not in a new flashy building. We believe in helping small towns and that is why we remolded several buildings in downtown Clarion. We keep our costs low, to provide services at an affordable level. My heritage, my father was a top sergeant in WWII. I am very proud that my father served tank corps under General Patton. He was in the middle of one of the biggest battles of the war, the battle of the bulge. My father who was very fortunate to have survived the war, raised a family in small town Iowa. Not every veteran was as fortunate as he always knew he was. I have many people; clients working with Bradford Financial Center. Many are entrepreneurs running their own business. A short time ago, one such lady came to me telling me that some veterans were being denied their due benefits. I suggested she should become knowledgeable in all areas of Veterans benefits to help do something. Then I proceeded to write a series of articles in my Money Outlook Column detailing a new service for veterans benefits. That was the beginning of our new veterans benefit services department. It makes my blood boil when veterans are denied their benefits! They have put their life on the line for you and me and America! Our politicians understand this and have attempted to repay that which can't really be fully repaid. Veterans are not receiving what our government has intended for them. Many times they qualify for benefits, but their applications are being denied! Also many veterans do not realize they qualify for benefits because of lack of awareness! I am in the business of helping people. It has been said, "No man can be all things to all people!" however, I believe in offering as many services as humanly possible. What better service than to serve those who have put their life on the line for our great nation? We are helping veterans receive their benefits. We currently offer this service at no charge to them. I know of no other private company in Iowa helping our veterans receive their just rewards. If you are a veteran, if you have applied and been turned down for benefits, if you have buried a loved one who served our country and were not paid burial expenses, if you are disabled and your spouse served.
